This week, I’ve been reflecting one of the biggest mistake I made early in building remote team culture: I focused too much on tasks and not enough on social connection.

I used to believe that productivity was all about getting through my work, but I completely overlooked the importance of fostering social connections. As a result, engagement and morale dipped. Over the years, I learned that strong team culture is about more than just work—it’s about people.
