Other Remote Working News
Want to stay on the cutting edge? Here’s what else is happening in the world of all things remote that you should know about:
Malaysia is launching a digital nomad visa: According to Citizen Remote, a nomad visa is launching in Malaysia. This is a big deal because the country has never offered this before, making it less inviting in comparison to other SE Asia countries that do offer nomad visas. Personally, I think this means more people will be planning trips to Malaysia in the very near future as it looks to be one of the most accessible schemes in the world, with minimum requirements to apply!
Costa Rica plans to improve their connectivity to attract Digital Nomads: Edwin Estrada, Deputy Minister of Telecommunications in Costa Rica says that “If we don’t do it, these people could go to other countries that offer better conditions”, which could mean in a year or so, Costa Rica will become a popular spot for nomads, due to their lower cost of living and soon to be speedy wifi!
Japan is now open: From October 11th, visa-free travel will be possible in Japan. This will be the first time they’ve opened the country since the COVID-19 pandemic. With visitors now allowed to enter, there will be a sudden rush of tourists & remote workers planning their ever-awaited trip to Japan! Are you one of them?
That’s it!
